The journey back to C
Frederic Cambus February 21, 2018 [C]A few months ago, I realized that I would be celebrating 20 years of C programming this February. Although I had several few years of hiatuses back and then, that's still a very long period for a single language.
My journey back to C started in the spring of 2015, out of envy to scratch a long time itch and write a Web log analyzer. I found Essential C to be a great refresher, which got me motivated and Logswan happened.
Fast forward to the fall of 2017, when I decided to finally tackle the pile of material I collected and printed over the year. This started with C Traps and Pitfalls, then the free C Language Issues chapter from TAOSSA, and I'm currently reading and enjoying Modern C.
Meanwhile, I've been reading Think OS and I will continue the journey with Advanced Programming in the Unix Environment before devoting myself to more material about operating systems.
Languages come and go, but C is forever.
